New Burton movie offers a visually stunning look at the post-apocalyptic world
As science and technology turns against humans, the struggle against "the machine" threatens humanity. In the final days of life on earth, a scientist gave life to his 9 creations.

From the man who brought you visually stunning movies like "The Nightmare Before Christmas" and "Big Fish," Tim Burton is sure to please with his newest release, simply named "9."

"9" was originally a short film that was nominated for an Academy Award in 2004. A full-length feature was created based on the original and is set to hit theaters appropriately on 9-9-09.

Per usual, big stars have signed on to work with Burton. Elijah Wood offers his voice to the No. 9 character and Jennifer Connelly is the voice of No. 7.

This movie is attractive to children and adults alike, capturing the fun of animation in a somewhat serious storyline focusing on machines that are overtaking the world, causing social unrest and threatening humanity as we know it. It is rated PG-13 due to some violence and scary images.
