"9" was originally a short film that was nominated for an Academy Award in 2004. A full-length feature was created based on the original and is set to hit theaters appropriately on 9-9-09.
Per usual, big stars have signed on to work with Burton. Elijah Wood offers his voice to the No. 9 character and Jennifer Connelly is the voice of No. 7.
This movie is attractive to children and adults alike, capturing the fun of animation in a somewhat serious storyline focusing on machines that are overtaking the world, causing social unrest and threatening humanity as we know it. It is rated PG-13 due to some violence and scary images.
